Regarding tools such as the Pond Calculator and Pond Builder’s Guide, we do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculated values. We are not responsible for any issues related to overestimating or underestimating pond gallonage. When applying treatments—especially if fish are present—it is always safer to under-treat than to over-treat. If you are unsure of your pond’s capacity, we recommend using conservative dosages.

Service Policy and Charges

If your appointment was confirmed and we are unable to complete the service due to lack of water/electricity, you will be charged the service fee. Make sure your outside water spigot is ON if you are requesting a service. If your water is OFF when we arrive and we are unable to complete the service, you will still be charged the service fee. If additional services are required, you will not be charged an additional service fee, but will be charged for hourly labor. If you are not home (and we are unable to contact you), we will use our discretion when it comes to replacing products (ie filter mats, warranty items, carbon, skimmer nets). We will not install a new pump or any expensive items without your approval.

You acknowledge that factors outside of our control can affect the date and time of your service. Weather, location, and staffing affect how we schedule our services. We service all of Connecticut, not just a few local towns.

You are responsible for providing electricity and water. If you require a water truck to fill your pond after the cleaning, you are responsible for scheduling it and payment.

We are not responsible for sick, injured, or dead fish. Fish issues that arise after a service could have evolved from a host of varying factors. Additionally, we are not responsible for any damage to aquatic plants during a service.

You accept the following charges for our services. All service prices are subject to change and are not guaranteed. Failure to return payment within the allotted payment period (30 days after billing date) will result in recurring monthly interest fees. Any quote/estimate provided by our office may be inaccurate; pond size/cleanliness cannot be judged accurately based on your photos/information.

Service Charge - We charge a service fee of $100 for the first 5 miles from our store in Portland, CT. We charge an additional $10 per 5 miles of travel distance; meaning if you live 15 miles away, you will be charged a $130 service call fee.

Labor Rate - We charge $100 per hour for each employee, meaning 2 employee for 1 hour is $200.

Consultation Fee - We charge $100 to $200 depending on travel time. Payment must be made on the day of the consultation.

Pay Your Bill - When your service is complete, we will mail you an invoice. To remit payment, you can: mail a check, call in a credit card, or pay in store. Late fees may incur after 30 days. We accept the following payment methods:
